International Culture Evening

On Thursday 26th March, The John Roan School will celebrate our very popular annual event, Culture Day. This day is designed to educate us all about the diversity within our school community and helps to create a strong sense of belonging for everyone.

From 5.30pm we will be hosting our International Evening, which has proven to be hugely popular. As a result, this will be a ticketed event this year.

Tickets are priced at £2.50, with proceeds going towards charities supporting individuals facing hardship globally.

Tickets can be purchased via ParentPay, with up to 5 tickets available per account. We do anticipate that this event will sell out, so we encourage you to secure your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The evening will feature performances from 10 different groups, followed by a celebration of food from around the world, with small samples available to enjoy.

We are also inviting parent volunteers and contributors to support the event by hosting a table. If you are interested, please complete the MS Form, and we will be in touch with further details and arrangements.

SUMMER BBQ - FRIDAY 10th JULY 2026 -  5pm onwards

Another date for the diary. Always a great evening. A time to relax with other parents, teachers, friends and family and enjoy some great food and entertainment.
A lot of help is always needed to plan and make the evening
run smoothly.

Look out for details coming soon on volunteering time,
cooking, shopping and more.

Over the last few years, we have been able to give different departments and areas of the school some support with funding which has been raised through the JRSA. This has included new equipment for The Hope Memorial Trust at Braithwaite, as well as the Geography, Science, Design and Technology, Art, PE and Music Departments.

Throughout the year, we hold quiz nights, a Summer BBQ, support concerts organised by the Music Department and provide refreshments and a friendly face at Parent and Open Evenings.

Come along to the next meeting for a chat and a coffee.

Everyone welcome!
