Apply to join our Sixth Form

At The John Roan School we are committed to fulfilling potential and delivering an outstanding education for all our students.

Whilst our greatest wish is that students who join us in year 7 stay with us until the end of year 13, we also welcome applications to our Sixth Form from external students across London.

There are no geographical restrictions for external students, but the leap from Key Stage 4 to 5 is a challenging one. therefore we require all applicants to our Sixth Form to have obtained the following minimum grades in order to be offered a place:

  • A Levels - at least 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English and Mathematics
  • BTECs - at least 5 GCSE’s at grade 4 or above including English and Mathematics

Selected subjects may also require a higher grade in that particular subject.

External students wishing to join us  in September 2021 can apply on GCSE Results Day (12th August).

External students wishing to apply to our Sixth Form can come to our Westcombe Park site (Westcombe Park Road, London, SE3 7QR) BEFORE 2pm on 12th August.

Alternatively, applicants can come to our Maze Hill site on Friday 13th between 10am - midday.

Applicants must meet the entry criteria listed above and bring proof of GCSE results and formal ID (e.g. passport or driving licence).
