Year 13 successes

We are very proud to be celebrating a strong set of results from our Year 13 cohort of last year.

Their results reflect two years of hard work and commitment and we are really pleased to see the progress that our students have made over the whole period of their time at the John Roan Sixth Form.

With a significantly improved A*/A rate this year, more than twice last year’s outcome, as well as another very positive set of BTEC results, we are delighted that so many of our students have secured good places at university or in employment.  For example;

  • Aron, 4 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and History to study Economics at LSE,
  • Catrina, A*AB in Sociology, History and English Literature to study Sociology at Sheffield,
  • Otto A*AA in Biology, Maths and Chemistry to study Medicine and Surgery at Newcastle,
  • Adrian A*A*AA in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry to study Maths at UCL,
  • Keya A*AA in Sociology, Politics and Psychology  to study Psychology at City, University of London.
  • Jun, A*AB in Psychology, Biology, Mathematics to study Economics at Kent,
  • Israel, 3 Merits in BTEC Health and Social, ICT and Sport to study Social Work at Portsmouth,
  • Gabriel, distinction in IT, 2 merits in Business and Sport alongside an A in the EPQ to study International Development at the University of Leeds.
  • Deena, Distinctions in Health and Social and CDMP and a C in Fashion to study Law at South Bank.

Well done to these and all our other students who have achieved excellent results this year, we wish you all the very best as you now move on to the next phases of your lives.
